Photographing unique affairs like this become even more special when we have a chance to help with planning. Zay and Dean contacted Taylored Photo Memories looking for an intimate desert wedding and especially wanted a cute desert wedding venue as a unique contrast to their East Coast roots. Their special day gave us an opportunity to appreciate the delicate yet modern details that a desert elopement can offer.
Cactus Joe’s Las Vegas Nursery had a large part in setting the stage with its eclectic but private desert feel, beautiful Joshua Tree forest and cactus gardens. Distressed wooden accents and decorative metal surrounded the wedding chapel where vows were exchanged and less than 20 guests witnessed this intimate event at sunset. Zay’s choices of subtle gold accents with white made characteristic statements, from her bridal headpiece and fingernail polish, all the way to the couple’s gifted dreamcatchers, made by the bride.
