By McKenzi Taylor As a Las Vegas elopement photographer, I get to photograph a plethora of weddings on the Las Vegas strip. This wedding was unique in that they actually paid an additional fee to their chapel for me to photograph their ceremony in the Treasure Island Resort. Vegas can be a bit tricky for those that come here with extravagant ideas of having a custom wedding. If you choose to get married inside a chapel, outside photographers are generally not allowed without an additional fee. So, I was thrilled at the opportunity to get a glimpse inside a casino chapel!
This couple was outstanding. They are from New York, and just wanted to elope, but they wanted to elope in Las Vegas in style. Anastasia is one of my most naturally beautiful brides. She was extremely photogenic and made my life as a Las Vegas elopement photographer so easy! She’s a natural poser as well as graceful, elegant and full of fun. The couple saw each other prior to their ceremony and even helped each other get ready. I at first thought it was not what they may have wanted, but then as the photographic opportunities were unfolding I knew it was a real intimate situation. This couple has been together for years and even has a son, so they almost preferred a less traditional setting and did what felt natural to them!
After the ceremony in the Treasure Island Wedding Chapel, we headed back to the couple’s room with all their visiting friends and celebrated with a few rounds of champagne and Vodka! I knew the rest of the evening would be great when everyone starts to loosen up, enjoy themselves and share the experience and the love of the Las Vegas strip. We popped into a limo after there toasts and headed to the Bellagio for a few shots around the famous Bellagio fountains before heading to the finale at the Venetian where the couple opted for a Gondola ride while being serenaded by the talented driver.
Over all, I have to admit, these are some of my most cherished getting ready shots. I love the way everything came out and I can only wish this fun and gorgeous couple a lifetime of love and happiness!
