Las Vegas Wedding Photos on the Strip

August 1, 2016 by McKenzi Taylor

Why did you choose this particular venue or location?
Either of us had been to the USA, we have always wanted to travel with Vegas the top of our list. We also really wanted to travel to Vegas with all our friends and family, getting married just made that happen.

What was your vision for your wedding day?
We wanted to have a very stress free fun day. We wanted to spend as much time as possible without all our friends and family as they had travelled so far to see us. We have been together for 10 years so to us we really wanted to have formalities completed quickly so we could just enjoy the day.

What was your favorite part of the planning process?
To be honest we didn’t enjoy planning, however I did enjoy looking at all the options. Neither of us had ever been to Las Vegas so the planning was quite difficult. I would look at blogs and search all of the suppliers and cross check with trip advisor so it took a bit of time. The best part was tailoring the day to what we wanted. We started with the first look, and it was amazing considering the day is so busy with so many people to have a moment like this was bliss. Followed by the ceremony, mammoth limo strip tour with all guests, reception and then a couple of after parties for those still up for it.

Was anything handmade or DIY at your wedding?
We only had a short stay in Vegas so we tried to have as much done as possible before we landed. We also wanted to make the wedding personal and intimate. I created all the table decor, seating plan and guest book, the guest book and seating plan consisted of photos of us with our guests to be placed in a scrapbook. I also altered the dress myself, the dress I bought was a formal dress so I had to change it slightly to suit the occasion. I was actually hand sewing the belt on the plane ride over. The main issue we had was that everything had to be bought over in our luggage so weight and size was an issue.

Do you have any advice for other couples planning their day?
Make it your own, there is so much to do in Vegas so don’t get locked into a restricting package. We moved around the strip quite a bit so we just organised transportation for everyone so we could celebrate together.
