The Strip isn’t the most convenient place to take a large group family photograph, but we really made it work with Kluck family. We choose a secluded area near the MGM conference center and it provided us with beautiful light, quiet, and a few if any disturbances. To photograph a family of 12 on the strip on a Saturday night could be a challenge, but we made the absolute best of it and really got some gorgeous images!
Things to consider when planning a Las Vegas family photographer shoot in Las Vegas!
1. There are wonderful places to take photos on The Strip, but keep in mind it will all depend on the size of your group. The smaller the better if you are looking for the traditional “strip” style images.
2. If you are able to avoid planning the shoot on a weekend, do so. The crowds on The Strip grow considerably during the weekend.
3. Wear comfortable clothing. I generally encourage families to wear similar tones, but it’s completely up to you!
4. Keep in mind the weather (especially in the summer). As I am writing this post, the weather is a scorching 100 degrees at 10:30am. The best shoots are done later in the evening as close to sunset as possible because the light is beautiful but it’s also a little bit cooler!
