I ventured out to do some Red Rock Canyon photography the other day with a family from Colorado. Rya, who is also my personal trainer (BodyGlo) had her parents visiting her in Las Vegas for a week, so I suggested she get some family photos done. She kind of laughed at me at first but once she shared the idea with her parents they were thrilled. It made me realize that we often don’t take the time to get family photos once our children are grown adults. If you really think about it, the only time you get photographs taken are: senior high school portraits, your wedding and then a few family photos through out your kid’s childhood. Once your children are older, we stop – I wonder why?
The photos matter just as much as they did when your children were toddlers! You don’t love your kids any less and I am certain you see them less, so it’s funny that we just figure family photographs are over once children are old enough to go to college. Forget that though, make sure you capture the memories through your life; not just when your kids are kids! 🙂
Here’s to capturing your adventure and to this family for inspiring this blog post!
