I don’t want to sound like I am tooting my own horn, but I am beyond thrilled when strangers come across my work on this glorious monstrosity that we call the internet. Even more so when they use said image(s) to track me down and hire me to take their photos. As you can imagine I was extremely flattered when Randy and Wanetta reached out to me after seeing a rockabilly wedding photo from one of my previous clients on Google. Randy and Wanetta are fans of the rockabilly style and decided that they wanted to incorporate this theme into their own big day in order to have something different and exciting. With the help of Viva Las Vegas Weddings they arranged to have a small rockabilly wedding ceremony with family and friends followed by post-wedding photos in Nelson Nevada with yours truly.
I find that a lot of my clients lately have been seeking something different and exciting when it comes to their photos, and my favorite location to recommend to them is Eldorado Canyon in Nelson Nevada. It’s a bit of a drive to get there, but well worth it once you lay eyes on all of the fascinating pieces of vintage memorabilia lying about. As a photographer, I love the variety of backgrounds and textures that can be incorporated amongst the different automobiles, signs and weathered structures on the property. Not only is this location perfect for couples like Randy and Wanetta who have a specific theme in mind, but it often appeals to people from all walks of life as long as they are seeking something different. I’ve photographed a variety of engaged and married couples, families, and even high school seniors out in Nelson, locals and visitors alike (check out some more blog posts). Whether you are like Randy and Wanetta and have your own rockabilly wedding or engagement vision, or are just looking for a photo shoot location that is as fun as it is unique, you may just have a pay a visit to Eldorado Canyon in Nelson, Nevada.
