Even though I was technically “working,” Melissa and Justin’s San Clemente Beach Wedding was hands down, one of the most fun weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. The ceremony was small and intimate and took place at Old Hanson Beach Club near Pico Beach. It was a beautiful venue that fit their personalities to a tee.
Melissa made her appearance in a light and sheer pink-hued wedding dress and Justin sported a white linen suit. They did a perfect job dressing for a San Clemente Beach Wedding in June – cool, comfortable and gorgeous.
The wedding was classic DIY, which I adore. The girls did each other’s hair and make-up; the couple channeled their crafty side and made their own decorations and Justin’s stepdad, Dan, played trumpet and violin in the ceremony! These personal touches really stood out and made the day all the more special.
The first dance was outstanding and clearly planned carefully. The audience laughed, cried and was lucky to be part of such a joyful experience. After dinner and drinks, an awesome live band took the stage and covered classic bands such as Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd. This photographer was in reception heaven!
I don’t like to play favorites but this San Clemente Beach Wedding rises to the top of my list of favorites. Check out the images and leave the couple some love in the comments. Congratulations Melissa and Justin – I had a blast!
