Working as a wedding and elopement photographer in Las Vegas I have learned that Sin City has a lot to offer as far as a variety of photo shoot locations and aesthetics. This place is so versatile in its variety of colors, textures and architecture that there literally is a photo shoot location that could fit any personality. From those seeking the natural backdrop of the desert to those seeking the glitz and glamour that Vegas is known for, I can honestly say that we have it all. It definitely makes my life easier as a photographer to have all of this variety. If my clients need help deciding on a photo shoot location I have a ton of recommendations. But even more fun for me is when my clients introduce me to a new venue or photo shoot location of their own choosing, one that I have never been to before. Jacqueline and Henry are two such clients that introduced me to the amazing vintage architecture and aesthetics of The Delano Las Vegas Luxury Hotel. It truly was the perfect place to capture their vintage engagement photo shoot.
The Delano presents itself with a lot of sensual dark wood and retro furnishings which make it the ideal setting to capture a vintage engagement photo shoot. There are a variety of textures and artistic sculptures which provide a ton of great visually attractive background options. I normally opt for outdoor lighting for my photo shoots, but shooting Jacqueline and Henry’s engagement photos inside The Delano was certainly a new challenge and a treat. With their choices of retro inspired clothing and this amazing vintage setting it truly was like we had stepped back in time. I had so much fun working with this artistically inclined photogenic couple and the warm and accommodating Delano staff that this new photo shoot location has earned a spot on my “best places for a vintage photo shoot” list. I will definitely be keeping it in mind for future couples and future photo shoots.
