Things to See and Do in Las Vegas for Small Business Owners Looking for an Edge

March 4, 2026 by McKenzi Taylor

WARNING! This is not your average list of Vegas’s most exciting attractions or best hidden gems for vacationers.

If all you’ve ever heard about Las Vegas is our famous advertising slogan, you’d never know that we’re a thriving future-forward metropolis. And that’s ok. Visitation is largely what drives our economy after all.

But, while the world often focuses on the bright lights and endless entertainment, many travelers arrive here specifically to learn, grow and refine their business strategies. And that’s what this blog is about. It’s a business-boosting look at some of the city’s best stuff that’s geared towards helping you find your next big thing, reset your professional focus or break through barriers your business is facing.

If you’re ready to boost your bottom line on your next trip to Vegas, rather than find as many bottomless beverage deals as possible, here’s the “best things to see and do in Vegas” list for you!

Convention Goers

SEE: Skyfall Panoramic Lounge

Located atop the W, this lounge provides a stunning perspective of the Las Vegas skyline that is perfect for quiet reflection after a long day on the show floor. The atmosphere is designed to put people at ease, making it a supportive environment for high-level networking or internal team debriefs. Cocktail hour at Skyfall offers a moment to reset your professional energy while enjoying some of the most stunning views the city has to offer. But don’t get too lost in the clouds, you’ve got work to do!

DO: The Sphere

Ok ok, so there’s some globally famous attractions on my list. But hear me out.

The Sphere represents the absolute peak of immersive technology and high-energy visuals. For a convention goer, experiencing a show here is an educational masterclass in how modern brands can tell passionate stories on a massive scale. It encourages you to think about how your own business might use innovation to capture the attention of a crowded market. This venue is an essential stop for anyone wanting to see the future of digital content and global branding. If you’re not inspired here, you never will be.

Deal Makers

SEE: The Menu at Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand

For the deal maker who values honesty and integrity, this three-Michelin-star establishment offers a dinner and a setting that matches the highest professional standards. The kitchen’s focus on perfection and the front of house team’s exceptional service creates an environment where complex negotiations can happen with a sense of calm and mutual respect. It is a place where meaty topics can be discussed over a world-class meal that reflects a vision of excellence.

DO: Play 18 Holes at Bali Hai Golf Club

In Las Vegas, some of the most significant contracts aren’t negotiated in boardrooms, but on the fairways of courses such as Bali Hai. This tropical-themed course offers a high-end relaxed environment perfect for building trust and conducting business away from the office. It doesn’t hurt that it’s located right on the Strip. The opportunity to get non-business-setting face time with the decision makers, in a way that lets everyone in the four-some get to know each other, without interruption can be invaluable if you’re trying to make that push to the next level.

Power Couples

SEE: Arts District

The 18b Arts District is a living case study in urban evolution. Power couples can observe how a once-overlooked industrial area has been completely revitalized through the collective teamwork of artists, local government, and small business owners. Each oversized mural and small art gallery represents a shared goal to uplift the community’s identity and prove that a unified vision can transform the economic and social fabric of a neighborhood. Seeing this firsthand inspires couples to think about how their own collaborative efforts can create a lasting impact and spark evolution in their own communities.

DO: Take Some Notes at The UnCommons

This first-of-its-kind mixed-use urban campus in Las Vegas was designed specifically to foster productivity and success. Power couples should spend an afternoon here navigating the curated blend of office spaces and lifestyle amenities to see how a high-functioning environment supports individual drive. Bring a notebook and look for ways that this shared value project brings together a variety of professionals and residents for the benefit of everyone. It’s more relaxing than you might think and actually not a bad spot for a wandering idea-filled brainstorming conversation with your date.

.

Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs

SEE: Downtown Container Park

This park is a brilliant example of how creative problem solvers can use space in an unconventional and sustainable way. Entrepreneurs can observe how small businesses have systemized their operations within a unique framework that captures the public imagination. It’s a high-energy hub that empowers local brands and encourages a team-player atmosphere among different creators.

DO: Buy a Book at The Writer’s Block

This independent bookshop is a sanctuary for those who possess a high level of personal ownership and individual drive. (and artificial birds LOL I can’t explain it, just go. It’s fantastic). It’s a place to find creative resources and inspiration that can help you differentiate your brand in a crowded digital market. The supportive and sensitive atmosphere puts you at ease as you brainstorm your next big strategic move for your small business while pouring over a new best seller or an old stand-by. I also love their calendar of events at which authors from many walks of life share their latest projects. There’s always something to learn.

Career Switchers

SEE: Neon Museum

The Neon Museum provides second-career folks a masterclass in brand evolution and the preservation of passionate stories across decades. Walking through the retired neon signs allows career switchers to see how legacy brands have changed while maintaining their core identity. Bring your camera for a guided tour that encourages you to think about the long-term impact and sustainability of your own professional journey. This choice provides a unique perspective on Las Vegas’s history and its ability to reinvent itself.

DO: Mob Museum

For a “do” that focuses on the mechanics of organizations and strategy, visit The National Museum of Organized Crime & Law Enforcement. You read that right. If you want to become a better leader, make yourself a better boss or control your mini-empire like a kingpin, then the Mob Museum provides an educational look at how law enforcement agencies and complex organizations operate and evolve over time. Career switchers can find inspiration in the artifacts on display as well as the innovative exhibits used to tell a never ending story.
